My Thrillophilia Adventure: Exploring the Ladakh

Ladakh has always been my number one bucket list destination. Recently, I finally got the opportunity to witness its beauty with my friends. My trip to Ladakh was an amazing journey that I am surely going to cherish forever. I planned this trip with my closest friends because I believe if you have the right group with you, your experiences in Ladakh will enhance automatically.

After years of convincing, one day, all six of us said yes to go to Ladakh. This time we all were financially and mentally prepared for this trip. Without wasting a moment, I went to my all time favourite travel website, Thrillophilia. There were several exciting packages and we took a complete day to finalise one. The package was not only budget-friendly but also had some really great Ladakh reviews of Thrillophilia.

The next day I got a call from the company. We cleared all our doubts as well as he explained to us the entire itinerary. We even requested some customisations to the package. The booking process went smoothly and our customised package was ready. We completed all the payment process, booked our flight tickets and packed our bags.

Ladakh – land of peace, adventure and thrills!

Our journey started from Leh where we met our driver. From the airport, we reached our hotel. Our room had amazing views and I could not wait to get out there.

We quickly freshened up and headed out to explore Leh. Before that, we asked the driver to stop at a roadside food stall from where we had our lunch. There we tried some delicious dishes like Skyu, Chutagi and ended the meal with a cup of Butter Tea. Post lunch, we visited the beautiful Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. On our way back to the hotel, we went to the local bazaar for some shopping. We purchased Ladakh fridge magnets as our souvenirs. We had our dinner at the hotel after which we did a little jamming session as none of us could sleep.

Day 2 included a tour of the Sham Valley which is also known as the ‘Apricot Valley’. Our day started by visiting the Hall of Fame Museum which was dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Indo-Pak war. Next, we visited Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and offered our prayers. We also visited the SECMOL school, the iconic climax scene location of 3 Idiots. Lastly, we went to the famous Magnetic Hill where the driver shut off the engine and the car automatically moved forward. It was an unbelievable experience which made us realise that nature is incredible.

On the 3rd day, we got transferred to the much awaited Nubra Valley. On our way, we crossed the Khardung La Pass which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Finally, on arriving in Nubra Valley, I took a moment to take in the breathtaking beauty of the place. There we visited the popular Diskit Monastery which has a 106 ft tall statue of Buddha. All of us even tried a fun camel ride on the double-humped Bactrian which was one of the most suggested activities in the Thrillophilia reviews. At night, we checked-in at a campsite where we met some other groups of travellers. All of us spent the night, playing games, singing and dancing near the bonfire.

Finally, on day 4 we were going to visit Pangong Tso. On the way, we passed through the beautiful Shayk Valley which is famous for its ‘River of Death’. It was a difficult and bumpy route, the kind of experience I was waiting for in Ladakh. As soon as we reached the beautiful Pangong Lake, I could not believe my eyes that something this gorgeous could exist in this world. We took a lot of pictures, made vlogs and some even tried to connect with their family. At night, we camped near the lake which was worth every penny. Unlike others, I chose to spend the night simply stargazing in peace.

The next morning, all of us continued our journey towards Chang La Pass. On the way, we explored Chang La Baba Temple, Thiksey Monastery and Druk Padma Karpo School, also known as the ‘Rancho School’.

The next day we woke up early as we had to visit the gorgeous Stok Village which was around 15 km from Leh. The village was even more beautiful than its pictures and the locals were really welcoming too. There we visited the Stok Palace and Museum where we got to see Thangka paintings, king’s crown, royal attire, jewellery and precious stones.

The most memorable trip of my life!

I went to my dream destination, with the perfect group and from the right travel platform. Like always, Thrillophilia did wonder and arranged everything perfectly for us – the food, stays and drives!

Overall it was a great experience and I couldn’t have asked for more. After such a memorable experience, I had to share my experience through this review of Thrillophilia. I hope someone reads it and makes the right choice of choosing Thrillophilia as their travel partner.
